Embossing
Embossing is complimentary. I use characters with a height of 4mm uppercase, and 3mm lowercase in a sans serif font. By default, embossing is placed on the bottom-right corner of the front cover and centered on the inside flap. For custom placement, email me.
You can choose from alphabet, numbers, special characters and emojis such as heart, star, sun, moon, and sparkle.
Please note: Custom requests or order changes will only be honored after you receive a confirmation email from me.
Material & Care
Material & Care
Leather
I use Italian vegetable tanned leather from the Genuine Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium for most of my journals and leather goods. This is the same stuff the best leather makers use, and for good reason. Every hide is a little different, so you might notice subtle variations in colour, small natural marks, or unique grain patterns. That's not a flaw, that's the leather. With daily use it softens, deepens in tone, and develops a patina that's entirely your own.
From time-to-time, I use chome tanned leather, as part of limited edition journals. Please read the product listing for more specifics.
Leather Care
Wipe gently with a clean, dry cloth. If you'd like, apply a touch of leather balm, let it absorb and lightly buff. Avoid contact with water, harsh cleaners and heat. If it gets wet, blot and let it air dry naturally.
Eyelet Care
I use brass eyelets with a colored finish, which may naturally patina with time and touch. If you would like to brighten your hardware, gently polish with a cotton swab and a brass cleaner, taking care to avoid contact with the leather.
Made in Sydney, NSW.

Certified and traceable quality
The leather used is sourced exclusively from tanneries belonging to the Genuine Italian Vegetable-Tanned Leather Consortium - the Tuscany-based organisation that sets and upholds the gold standard for vegetable-tanned leather. It's a material that improves with age, absorbing the traces of daily life and developing a character entirely its own.
